Introduction
Welcome to Body Monitor by Fenlander Software Solutions, this is the most complete all-in-one body monitoring app
available for Android devices.
If at anytime you get stuck or need help beyond what is offered in the help, just use the Contact Support Page for additional support.
This application allows you to track your weight, height, all body measurements, BMI , body-fat and add daily notes.
It is the perfect app for tracking progress if you are dieting,working out or tracking your children's growth as they get older.

Built on top of this is full advanced graphing facilities and full multi-user support so you can track yourself, your family or friends.

Getting Started
Getting started is as easy as four steps.
1. Create a user - Enter all your details
2. Select the home icon - This takes you to the calendar view
3. Choose a date - Pick the date you want to enter info on
4. Start tracking

Create and Manage Users

Creating a user
To create a user press the large green plus icon at the top of the screen.
You will now go through three screens to create a user.

Page one - Personal Details
On the first page enter your name , you date of birth and then choose if you are male or female.

Page two - Configuration
This page allows you to configure how you will enter data into the application.
1. Select how you measure your height
2. Select how you weigh yourself
3. Select how you measure your body.
4. Finally select if you want the streamlined number only keyboard or the traditional full keyboard, if you experience any input issue choose alternative input.


Page three - Password Protection

First select if you want to password protect your user.
If you do , then enter your password twice to confirm, a green tick will appear to confirm if they match.
Then you have two options.
1. Prompt for password at launch - selecting this means you will be prompted to enter your password each time you launch the application.
2. Show user information in widget - if you untick this option it will not show any information related to this user in the widget.

Editing a user
To edit a user , select the persons name. Then enter a password if challenged and choose edit user.
Now you go through the same screens as when creating a user editing as you go.

Deleting a user
To delete a user , select the persons name. Then enter a password if challenged and choose delete user.
You will then be asked to double confirm you mean to delete the user
If you select yes the user will be permanently deleted.

Selecting/Switching a user
The green tick icon indicates the currently selected user
To select/switch a user , select the persons name. Then enter a password if challenged and choose select user.
The list will refresh with the green tick against that new user

Quick Nav & Quick Change

The application since version 1.2.0 has had the feature to quick navigate and quickly change users.
Selecting quick navigation takes your immediatley to major features of the app to speed up your usage.
Quick user change allows you to quickly on any permitted screen change users.

Calendar

The calendar view is the main entrance into the application and can always be reached by pressing the Home icon located in the top left of the screen.
On this screen you can see visual indicators of what has been entered , being Weight, Height, Bodyfat, Note or a measurement by colored highlighters on each day.
From this screen you can either select the current day , highlighted in green to enter data, or select dates in the past to enter historical information.

Daily Details

Once a day has been selected you then get taken to the daily details page.
Here you can see in brief the latest values for each type of measurement and get indiciation of if a note has been entered.
To view a section in more detail click upon it and you will be taken to the relevant screen.
Measurements are part of a collapsible view , clicking on measurements expands that list so you can see all the items.

Weight & BMI Tracking & Goal Setting

On the weight detail page you are presented with your log of weight entries with visual indicators showing the difference between itself and the previous entry.
Each weight entry will automatically calculate your BMI based upon your user details and height entries.

Add Weight
To add a weight entry click on the Green cross icon located at the top of the screen.
Here enter your weight (entry type is based upon user config), and select the date for this entry.
The default date is automatically set to the date passed through from the daily details page.

Edit Weight
To edit an entry , select the entry and then you are presented with two options.
Select Edit item , and you will be presented with a pre-filled form of previous data.
Here you can edit your weight entry value or even date.
You also have the option to recalculate your body fat based upon this weight.
This option will either automatically edit a previous entry on the corresponding date, or if you have not calculated bodyfat in the past automatically create a new entry.

Calculating Bodyfat
When adding or editing a weight entry there is the option to automatically calculate bodyfat based upon that weight entry and then will attempt to firstly use the more
advanced method of height and measurements, if not possible will use the less accurate height,bmi & weight method.
The calculated value will be added or edited automatically and presented in the bodyfat section.

Delete Weight
To delete an entry , select the entry and then you are presented with two options.
Select Delete item , you will then be asked to confirm you wish to delete the entry.
Note: This only deletes the weight entry and any corresponding bodyfat entrys that were calculated from it will remain.

Setting Goals
By selecting the Set Goal option you can set yourself a weight goal , whether this is loss or gain.
Simply enter the target weight and press Ok.
Once done so on the main screen and widget you will be presented with the total distance to your goal and when viewing your progress as a graph you will have the ability to overlay your goal against your progress.

Viewing Statistics
If you select the view statistics button you are presented with your current weight statistics, these are :
Total Lost/Gained
Last Lost/Gained
Amount from Goal
Average loss/gain per week
Calculated number of weeks to achieve goal at current rate

Viewing Chart
Select the View Chart option to view a graph of your progress. For details on how how to use the chart please read the Graphing section

Height Tracking

On the height detail page you are presented with your log of height entries with visual indicators showing the difference between itself and the previous entry.
Your height entries are used throughout the application to automatically calculate such things as BMI and Bodyfat.

Add Height
To add a Height entry click on the Green cross icon located at the top of the screen.
Here enter your height (entry type is based upon user config), and select the date for this entry.
The default date is automatically set to the date passed through from the daily details page.

Edit Height
To edit an entry , select the entry and then you are presented with two options.
Select Edit item , and you will be presented with a pre-filled form of previous data.
Here you can edit your height entry value or even date.

Delete Height
To delete an entry , select the entry and then you are presented with two options.
Select Delete item , you will then be asked to confirm you wish to delete the entry.
Note: This only deletes the height entry and any corresponding bodyfat & bmi entrys that were calculated from it will remain.

Viewing Chart

Bodyfat Tracking & Goal Setting
On the bodyfat detail page you are presented with your log of bodyfat entries with visual indicators showing the difference between itself and the previous entry.
Each bodyfat entry will also indicate if it was manually entered or calculated by the app.

Add Bodyfat
To add a bodyfat entry click on the Green cross icon located at the top of the screen.
Here you can manually enter your bodyfat percentage or choose to automatically calculate it from data entered into the application.
You can also select the date for this entry.
The default date is automatically set to the date passed through from the daily details page.

Calculating Bodyfat
There are two ways of calculating body fat.

BMI/Height/Age
When you select this option it automatically calculates bodyfat based upon current weight entry, your user details and your height.

Weight & Body Measurements
When you select this option it automatically calculates bodyfat using a more advanced method based on weight and measurements.

Males
For males it uses your height, weight and waist measurements to calculate your bodyfat.If any are missing an appropiate error message is given.

Females
For females it uses your height, weight, waist, hips , wrist & forearm to calculate your bodyfat. If any are missing an appropiate error message is given.

Edit Bodyfat
To edit an entry , select the entry and then you are presented with two options.
Select Edit item , and you will be presented with a pre-filled form of previous data.
Here you can edit your bodyfat entry value or even date.
You also have the option to recalculate your body fat based upon entries based upon your current weight entry, your user details and your height that you may have updated.

Delete Bodyfat
To delete an entry , select the entry and then you are presented with two options.
Select Delete item , you will then be asked to confirm you wish to delete the entry.
Note: This only deletes the bodyfat entry and any corresponding weight entrys that may have generated it remain.

Setting Goals
By selecting the Set Goal option you can set yourself a bodyfat goal , whether this is loss or gain.
Simply enter the target bodyfat percentage and press Ok.
Once done so on the main screen you will be presented with the total distance to your goal and when viewing your progress as a graph you will have the ability to overlay your goal against your progress.

Viewing Statistics

Measurement Tracking & Goal Setting
Firstly expand the collapsible view of measurements, then select the appropiate measurement you wish to monitor.
Once selected you are presented with your log of measurement entries with visual indicators showing the difference between itself and the previous entry.

Add Measurement
To add a measurement entry click on the Green cross icon located at the top of the screen.
Here you enter your measurement based upon your user configuration.
You can also select the date for this entry.
The default date is automatically set to the date passed through from the daily details page.

Edit Measurement
To edit an entry , select the entry and then you are presented with two options.
Select Edit item , and you will be presented with a pre-filled form of previous data.
Here you can edit your measurement entry value or even date.
Note: Any edits will not affect any calculated values based upon it.

Delete Measurement
To delete an entry , select the entry and then you are presented with two options.
Select Delete item , you will then be asked to confirm you wish to delete the entry.
Note: This only deletes the measurement entry and any corresponding bodyfat calculation etc. that has used it will remain.

Setting Goals

Graphing
When viewing a chart you have a number of options.
Pressing the Plus and Minus buttons at the bottom of the screen increase & decrease the number of days the graph is shown over.

The Printer icon takes a snapshot of the graph, saves it to your SDCard and adds it to your devices Gallery for future use & sharing.

The next important button is Goal , selecting this will show any Goals you have set upon the graph.

Configure Graph selecting this displays a pop-up allowing you to choose the main graph you wish to display, along with enabling the second overlay graph and choosing which tracked item you wish to compare against.

If you choose any tracked item that does not have the required error an error message is displayed.

Notes
Use the notes section to enter any information to help motivate you, record your mood and any other information that may be useful to look back on. This can help you during difficult periods to help you re-focus.

Export To Spreadsheet
Export creates a spreadsheet compatible copy of your entire users database.
This option is perfect for sharing with friends and reviewing your progress over time.
To use simply choose the start date to start the generating from (the end date is always today) and press "Generate Report". Once the report is generated the created files will be attached to a premade email for you to choose where to email them to.
Copies are also placed in the applications directory on the SD card for future access.

Backup & Restore Database
For convience and safety you can backup your database to your SD Card.
To do this visit Settings and select Backup & Restore.
Other options available are
Email database - This option allows for easy emailing of the database to the developers if you experiencing issues and should only be used after communication with the developers

Send feedback option in settings lets you email the creators of the application direct. So if you are loving the application or having problems you have a direct link back to us.
